The Pride Collective welcomes new groups that serve the needs of GLBT people in our area. If you are interested in starting or facilitating a group, please contact us by phone at 218-287-8034 or by e-mail. We will be happy to assist you with getting your group started.

Pride Collective Board Meeting
The Pride Collective board meets once a month. Members of the community are invited to share their comments with the board at that time or by contacting the board prior to the meeting.

Men’s Reading Group
A group for gay, bisexual and transgender men who enjoy reading and discussing works of fiction and non-fiction with GLBT subject matter.

The Men’s Reading Group meets in a private home. Please contact Mark Chekola at 218-233-4621 or by e-mail at mchekola@yahoo.com for more information if you are interested in participating.

Minnkota Center Discussion Groups
Minnkota Center is offering social/discussion groups. The open-forum discussion group will provide people the oppotunity to meet others, share ideas, discuss alternative views and empower one another through knowledge and understanding.  The Men’s group offered to men who identify as gay, queer, MSM, or bisexual will meet the first and third Mondays of each month. The Women’s group offered to women who identify as gay, lesbian, womyn loving womyn or bisexual is offered the first and third Wednesdays of each month.

PFLAG of Fargo-Moorhead
PFLAG (Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays) meets every second Sunday of the month at 4:00 p.m. You can also get further information by calling 701-235-SEEK. PFLAG’s website includes an excellent collection of links.

“Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays promotes the health and well-being of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered persons, their families, and friends through: support, to cope with an adverse society; education, to enlighten an ill-informed public; and advocacy, to end discrimination and to secure civil rights. PFLAG provides an opportunity for dialogue about sexual orientation and gender identity, and acts to create a society that is healthy and respectful of human diversity.”

Rainbow Recovery AA Group
Meets every Thursday at 7:00 p.m. Although the group is geared towards GLBT persons, everyone is welcome. Contact person: Greg B. 701-235-3828

Ten Percent Society (MSUM/NDSU)
The Ten Percent Society of Minnesota State University, Moorhead and North Dakota State University meets every two weeks during the academic year.

“The Ten Percent Society provides social activities, support, and education to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender students, faculty and staff and straight allies on the campuses of Minnesota State University Moorhead and North Dakota State University and in the Fargo-Moorhead community.”

TriStateTG
A support group for transgender persons. Meets once a month. Email us at tristate_tg_outreach@yahoo.com or call the Pride Collective at 218.287.8034 to leave a message. You will then be contacted by a member of the group.

“A Midwest transgender support group serving North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota and Manitoba. Providing a place to meet and exchange information pertaining to the cross-dresser, transsexual and transgender community, their families and friends. Significant others are always welcome and encouraged to join!”
